Canoe hire or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) hire – book your exciting adventure on the River Wye now (Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth):

At Way2Go Adventures we are proud to offer you some flexible options for self-guided trips on the river Wye.

Canoeing the Wye is a favourite activity to do when you love the outdoors or visiting the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.

How our Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye canoe hire and SUP hire works

We will meet you at the venue of your choice (Monmouth or Kerne Bridge, Ross-on-Wye), to hand out the necessary equipment needed for your adventure and of course the all-important safety brief for your paddle on the River Wye.

What experience is needed on our trips

Our canoe and Paddleboarding adventures down the Wye River are suitable for all levels of ability thanks to our high-standard safety brief giving you everything you will need to know, from self-rescue skills to how to manoeuvre your canoe, as many of our customers have only done it back in their school days!

River Wye canoe hire and SUP hire trips we offer are:

Monmouth to Whitebrook – Way2Go Adventures half-day hire trip in a canoe or on Paddleboard is from Monmouth to Whitebrook covering just under 6 miles with some of the best views of the Wye Valley in our opinion, and we have paddled the whole River Wye! Halfway along your self-guided trip, you will reach the village of Redbrook. It has a village shop and a great place for a picnic or a visit to one of the local pubs for some food before you continue down the river to Whitebrook.

Ross-on-Wye, Kerne Bridge to Monmouth – Our full-day rental hire is only for canoes from Kerne Bridge to Monmouth covering just under 15 miles and takes in Symonds Yat West and East. This a brilliant place to stop for lunch, then take on Symonds Yat Rapids which are the only classified rapids on the lower Wye (grade 2). We will make sure you know everything you need to know to bounce down them safely. From here you only have 2 hours to go until you arrive in Monmouth where we will meet you.

Park and play – We also offer a park and play experience where you meet us and your equipment, have a safety brief then jump on the river and paddle upstream for a while then paddle/float back to your car. This is only for SUP paddle boards.

Pick up – Pick up your SUP hire boards for the day or multi-day from our office base. Collect them deflated and take them anywhere, we will recommend venues in the area if you need advice. You can also book our Intro to SUP.

We are an animal-friendly outdoor adventure company and as you will see from our photos are happy for you to bring your (well-trained) dog canoeing with us. Please let us know when you book!
